I am a board certified practitioner with 10 years of experience in emergency medicine, immediate care and most recently allergy and immunology. In addition I am a certified asthma educator. My goal in patient care is not only to give excellent medical care, but also to educate the individual about his/her condition, consider family and social implications of illnesses and allow patients to achieve the best quality of life possible.
I grew up in this area and my husband and I have raised our three children in northern Illinois. We now enjoy time with our grown children and two grandchildren. My interests outside of work include sailing, scuba diving, quilting, gardening, and hand bell ringing.
I have a special interest in helping asthmatic patients maintain optimum control of their asthma . During my years in emergency medicine I have witnessed firsthand the results less than optimal control of asthma, much of which is preventable with appropriate management.
